Rule 35
Voting Representative
(1) A candidate or his election representative may appoint a polling representative as per schedule-24 to perform his duties at the polling station. When appointing a polling representative, all the candidates who are candidates from the same party must coordinate and appoint only one polling representative in one polling station. In the case of independent candidates, the respective candidates or their election representatives should coordinate with each other and make arrangements to appoint only one voting representative in one polling station as far as possible.
(2) A person whose name is included in the last voter list of the respective local level and who knows how to read simple letters can be appointed as polling representative.
(3) The candidate or his election representative shall inform the polling officer of the polling station concerned that he has appointed a polling representative in accordance with sub-rule (1).
(4) The polling officer shall give the identity card as per schedule-25 to the polling representative.
(5) It shall be the duty of the polling representative to assist in the peaceful completion of the polling work and to stamp the bond to be prepared for the polling related work.
